Do I need a liquor license to sell wine gift baskets in Missouri?
I want to sell wine in the bottle in gift baskets or maybe just the bottle as a gift. MO selling them, and only about 10% of my sales. I need to know if I need a liquor license to do this and if so, what that the classification of a liquor license I need. Also, if you know all this ... How much?
Yes, you need a license liquor, but that depends on whether you are selling in a brick and mortar (requires site license) or if you are delivering. I'm not sure about delivery but the location of the site would be very similar to a bar license. I imagine it would cost a few hundred dollars for the application / processing but also tax of each unit you sell. A good way to get more information, please contact a local winery and see if they can help. They would be interested in try to get you to sell them, so we could make mutual benefit.
